This is an extremely rare opportunity to obtain a large wide beam with London mooring that has "historic assignability" at Benbow Moorings on the Grand Union Canal. Increasing the prestige of this listing is the huge garden that is included in the sale of the boat.
The boat was built in 2008 as a 46ft wide beam but the current owners, who have had it from new, had the boat extended to maximise the mooring space to its current 66ft length and 12ft beam. With two large cabins, the boat is ideal for a family to live in comfort and it is bright and modern throughout.
The garden has four sheds, including a large workshop, on it and the owner is able to build temporary structures but it is not available for building on.
The mooring at Benbow is fully transferable and current mooring fees are £3,595 p.a. The new owner will also need to factor in the houseboat license from the CRT at about £1,000 p.a. and Council Tax at £928 p.a.
The moorings are 1.5 miles away from West Drayton station with direct access to Paddington and central London. The new Crossrail station will be opening in 2018 making these moorings even more accessible.
