Hull built to Lloyds Specification - meaning she is built to the highest standards. The first Sailing Barge to be built since 1933. The base is 10mm steel and sides 8mm so she will last for decades as long as she is maintained properly. She has been fitted out to the highest specification too. Much of her equipment has been reclaimed from other historic vessels - The steering gear from Lady Helen, Wheel, Windlass from Jock, Main Brail winch from Felix, some rigging from Dawn, a top cap from Niagra and the Sprit from Barge Emma (a Dunkirk Ship) as noted in the 2018 edition of Thames Sailing Barges.

Access is via a good sized companion way which benefits from steps that are wide and not too deep. The main living area is an open plan but zoned area. The main saloon is lofty, has great headroom and lovely oak floors. There is a dining area and from this you can access the utility room. Looking forward of the saloon is a fabulous and well equipped galley. The sleeping accommodation is forward of the galley and comprises 3 cabins - The Master Suite with an en-suite shower room, The second cabin, The third cabin which could have a single bed in but is currently used as a walk-in wardrobe and a second heads with shower too. The use of textures and materials makes this a very aesthetically pleasing environment throughout. The vessel is insulated with sprayfoam, then 80mm high density foam and an air membrane, all topped off with 12mm ply. Many materials have been reclaimed so there is Iroko wood in the interior and much of the standing rigging has also been reclaimed too so this vessel feels very authentic.

Comentario del broker
These boat details are subject to contract.
This is a truly superb Thames Sailing Barge and the first one to be built since 1933. You simply have the best of both worlds here - the magnificence of a Thames Sailing Barge along with the modernity of her true age.
Built to Lloyds specification (the highest marine standard), and with deck gear reclaimed from other historic vessels, she is a true diamond. The fit out is outstanding too.
This vessel must be viewed to be truly appreciated and offers luxury and a very private lifestyle to those who would prefer the tranquillity of living onboard.
She currently enjoys an excellent residential mooring that can be rented by the next owner at a rental of approximately £650 per month - subject to the approval of the mooring owner. There is both water and electricity at the mooring.
Her stunning looks mean that any marina in London would accept this vessel as she is so pleasing to the eye. She would make a fantastic live aboard, or could, in the right location, earn an income as a holiday rental. She looks even better in the flesh so to speak.
Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
