Board amidships either port or starboard. Side decks with low, protective bulwarks and safety cables/rails extend fore-to-aft on each side. Caprails are teak -- nicely finished -- and other teak exterior trim is attractive and yachty but not excessive.
The cockpit has a folding canvas cover over the entire cockpit. The transom door to the teak swim grid is useful for boarding the dinghy (2009 RIB with 2015 Yamaha 9.9), which lowers easily on a pickle-fork type Roskelley-Olsson davit system. Cushioned cockpit seating also provides storage lockers. Two watertight deck hatches access the lazarette, which houses the generator. Steps on the aft house bulkhead (along with stainless steel handrails) make access to the boat deck simple.
Entry to the interior is through a sliding companionway door. The salon is surprisingly roomy, and very well-lit with large windows. An L-shaped settee around the dining table is nicely cushioned and large, and contains considerable storage including a Norcold portable freezer. The galley has plenty of cabinet space (see photos), an electric range, and a newer Novakool refrigerator/freezer. A portable icemaker is also at hand. With its teak overhead battens, traditional trawler-style oil lamp, and lovely teak floors and joinery this is a comfortable and classic trawler-style salon. The height of the seating combined with the height of the windows and the low exterior bulwarks make for great sightlines. Opening windows provide good ventilation. Note that a couple of the windows are cracked and could be replaced, but are not causing a problem currently.
Steps up to the raised pilothouse, with a large daybed / helmseat, and a starboard side helm. Book shelves, opening windows, clock and barometer, rod holders, port and starboard pilothouse doors, and many more nautical features underscore the heritage in this design. Reverse-raked forward windows are nice to have in rain, and distinctive in appearance.
The stateroom is forward, with a roomy head/shower, a large hanging locker, and two single berths arranged in a vee. Overhead hatch for ventilation and escape, and several storage lockers.
Cabin climate control is from reverse-cycle heat/air and engine bus-type heaters (2).

Comentario del broker
Though only a dozen of these Sundowner 32 Tugs were built, it is a very nice model, and is the culmination of years of development of the Sundowner line. It has wide side-decks, like the Sundowner 36, and because of its wider beam it still has more interior space than other 32 trawlers. Designed by well-known naval architect Jack Sarin this is a fine looking boat with distinctively work-boat lines and a hardy hull.
This is reported to be the final 32 produced, and it has an engine upgrade to a Cummins 6BT 210 hp 6 cylinder diesel -- an engine with a great reputation for longevity. Many features make this a ready-to-go cruiser -- Northern Lights generator, extra freezer capacity, reverse-cycle heat/air, engine bus-type heater, and a 2009 RIB with 2015 outboard on an easy-to-use davit system.
She has been moored during her recent ownership under cover and looks great with exterior brightwork that is beautiful and well-kept.
