Situated in main salon above custom-built foldaway desk, this computer is wired to provide HDMI feed to multi-distribution system+ — Main, 2 Cabins and Stern Deck TVs — for YouTube & DVDs, plugged into mains audio distribution system with 2,000 Golden Oldie songs on iTunes, and connected to wi-fi for Internet.
ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE
There are four Samsung multi-media TVs on board, plus two audio systems — a Clarion stereo 12v tuner with 6-CD player and a 220v Pioneer stereo amplifier/tuner.
The main TV is in the salon, with one in each cabin, and a customised system on the stern deck which allows for the TV to be raised from its splash proof compartment in a matter of seconds. All have remote controls.
Each TV receives two HDMI feeds — one from the Apple computer which enables viewing of Youtube etc or DVDs and one from the LaCie hard drive which contains some 1,000 movies.
The HDMI feeds come via professional splitter boxes supplied by HDAnywhere in the UK. They are designed to provide a no-loss signal with each output balanced/boosted to ensure high quality whether there is one or four TVs in use.
In addition, each TV has a USB cable instantly and easily available for personal viewing or listening.
(Note: In the event of new equipment coming on to the market, any upgrade is simple because the HDMI cables have already been laid.)
TV reception is provided by a top-quality Glomex digital revolving aerial mounted on the stern arch and remotely controlled from the salon for maximum reception at any given position.
The Clarion sound system supplies sound to stereo speakers in the salon and/or the stern deck. Apart from the tuner, its 6-CD player means endless hours of music can be recorded from the Apple computer.
All functions are remotely controlled by special built-in units. There are three in the salon and two on the Stern Deck, including one on the helm station — ideal for muting the system when docking.
The Pioneer tuner/amplifier also supplies stereo sound to the salon and Stern Deck with selection switches to choose between this and the Clarion, and inside/outside speakers.

The fully equipped galley includes a full sized refrigerator/freezer, microwave, a Miele Induction hob and even a Bosch Auto 6-Egg Boiler.
In the master stateroom, there's a massive queen-sized bed, surrounded by lighting, cabinets, and closets with en suite facilities including a separate walk in shower.
This Sea Ray 440 with its oodles of space is great for entertaining and also makes a very comfortable and spacious live aboard.
