Kurt Reinke is the author of books about yacht-building and for many years coordinated the construction of megayachts at a world-renowned yard. He developed a number of revered yacht designs and semi-builds for private self-builders and then developed a system for both support and parts distribution. Aluminum as a hull material became his specialty, chosen for its blue-water durability and safety.
This boat was ordered and built in a skilled yard in Waldkraiburg, Germany.
Regarding the twin keel design... Hundreds of Reinke twin keel hulls have been built. Purportedly, bilge keel Bruce Roberts designs are popular in Australia where tides can vary as much as 30 feet. The advantages and disadvantages of a twin keel in sailing are well documented, but in short the owner has been very pleased with the all around performance proven in nearly every kind of sea imaginable.
Fuel tanks consist of 500 litres in each keel fin (2) and two tanks of 750 litres each.
Above the waterline, the hull has been sanded to bare aluminum because of advice received from commercial aluminum boat owners over the years.
Deck is all aluminum. Anti-skid is very worn.
In 2012, in New Zealand the hull was sanded to the epoxy coat and then the hull was checked. A shipyard put on three more epoxy coats, primer, and three antifouling coats. In 2014 in Wrangell (Alaska) two new coats of antifouling were applied. All this work was done by professionals.
A Certificate of "Warrent of Fitness (electrics)" was supplied from New Zealand in 2012.

The interior of this vessel is very impressive to me. Fit and finish are remarkable.
The cockpit has a 20mm windscreen forward and both sides. A bimini top covers the companionway. Entering just aft of midship through the companionway down a few steps, a U-shaped settee is just aft of the interior helm. Windows wrap around this entire level for light to spill in. To starboard is the nav station, complete with modern SSB radio with data capability and a fully interfaced PC as a chart plotter. VHF radios and other typical navigation instruments are located here with a large map table and ample storage.
Aft of the navigation station down three steps are storage cabinets to starboard and fully aft is the master aft cabin. Here is a door to the large master head with standing shower and an access door to the engine room.
Forward the helm and nav station are three steps to a lower level. To port is a complete galley with electric stove, oven, fridge, hot and cold pressure water, large sink, and microwave. A glassware holder offers a semi-transparent wall between the galley and the main salon on the other side. An L-shaped settee surrounds a folding table. To starboard is a bench seat/berth and aft of that, across from the galley, is a smaller bench seat and cabinet.
Fully forward to port is a door to the forward head with manual toilet, basin, mirror, basic hand shower and storage. The door fully forward is the V-berth cabin and has ample room, double berth (if not larger) and many bookshelves. Beneath the cabin is line/sail storage.
1 indoor shower and 1 outdoor shower

Comentario del broker
This is an impressive all-aluminum cutter-rigged sloop that has already traveled the world and is not ready to stop. The owners have lived aboard and cruised the world for the past 6.5 years and are returning to Austria to reestablish terrestrial life. As such, nearly everything necessary to live aboard and sail the seas is staying with the boat. Metric conversion: This vessel is close to 50 feet long with a 13.78 foot beam.
This vessel truly appears to have everything needed for world travel and has proven itself worthy as such. The most unique feature of the Reinke is a twin "wing" fin keel (also called a bilge keel) that allows the boat to sit upright on dry land. This can be a great advantage for hull inspections at a low tide. Additionally, this configuration gives this 50' boat a draft of only 5'-8" (1.65m)
It has been reported that all the systems are functional and the sellers should know, as it has been their home for quite some time.
The exterior appears as a normal cutter rigged sailboat, but the interior is quite impressive to me. The layout allows for separate living spaces around a midships galley and settee.
Twin diesel engines in this sailboat provide two significant advantages -- the redundancy factor allows for high reliability and, as with larger motor yacht designs, low speed maneuverability is improved.
This interior helm is a tremendous advantage for rough water or cold weather and the settee adjacent to the helm makes steering while living-in-comfort a reality.
Boat delivery can be made by the current owner.
