Comentario del broker
Boatshed Ireland are pleased to offer this Moody's built Laurent Giles 38 Hull #2 for sale. A wonderfully elegant offshore cruiser and a forerunner to the Bowman 40.
The Giles 38 is a well thought-out deep bodied offshore yacht. She has a cavernous cockpit and her narrow coachroof design allows a great feeling of safety when moving about the decks.
This boat has given her current owners some exciting adventures over the last decade including trips to the West African coast, The Azores and Iberia to name a few. She has had 3 owners and remarkably all 3 owners since her build in the early '70's still keep in touch, such is their admiration for this boat. And talking about admiration, these were the words written by the Yachting Monthly correspondent when he sea- trialed her sister-ship in 1972,
'she is a comfortable fast cruising yacht and one of the best I have ever seen'.
The new owner may choose to update her condition a little, but the build quality on show is very obvious and she has such character and elegance that even as presented she offers great scope to any sailor who wishes to stretch their sea-legs in comfort and safety with little upgrade .
These boat details are subject to contract.
Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
