Recambios motor

The engines and generators were both replaced in 2000. Twin Cummins 6BTA5.9 engines provide propulsion. Engines are equipped with Borg-Warner Velvet Drive transmissions. The port engine has a reduction ratio of 2.75:1. Starboard is 3:1. Two Northern Lights 6kw generators are installed in the aft engine room. The engine room is well insulated, and engine noise is minimal when running.

Engines and gensets have been professionally maintained. In addition, the owner is diligent about running the engines and generators at least a couple times a month.

6V golf cart batteries wired in a series provide 12V power. There are a total of (16) 6V batteries in three separate banks. The forward bank provides power to the windlass and consists of (4) 6V batteries. Electronics are powered by a dedicated bank in the pilothouse which also consists of (4) 6V batteries. The house/starting bank is located in the engine room and consists of (8) 6V batteries.

The AC system is primarily 120V, but the stove is 240V. 240V power is provided by a step-up transformer (new in 2012).

Wesmar electric/hydraulic stabilizers with 6' foils were installed in 2000. A bulbous bow was also added at this time, which drastically improved the performance and fuel efficiency of the hull.

There are innumerable spares for the engines and generators permitting extended cruising. These include filters, gaskets, impellers, belts, water pumps, fuel pumps, starters, alternators, hoses, propellors, and a spare turbocharger. Spare struts and shafts are also included. The owner estimates the retail value of these spare parts to exceed $75,000.

The engine hour meters read over 11,000 hours each. These account for hours accrued under both the previous and current engines, which were replaced 2000. The hours estimated on the current engines are approximately half of the total hours or 5,500 hours.

Step onto the large and solid teak swim step to enter the cockpit through a transom door. The cockpit is spacious, as you would expect on a vessel of this size, and covered by the boat deck / sun deck above. Decks are teak. Port and starboard side decks are protected by high gunwales, and stainless railings capped with teak provide access to the foredeck.

Enter the cabin through teak doors. A settee located immediately to port provides seating for the crew, and converts to a double berth. The original tabletop is in mint condition, and appears like new. Opposite the settee is a seating area / single berth. A compass positioned directly overhead the seating area provides situational awareness for captain or crew looking to relax while underway. The galley is forward and to port, and is equipped with a double sink, microwave, refrigerator, electric range with glass cooktop, adequate counter space, and cabinets above and below. A pantry opposite the galley provides for storage. This pantry is actually a converted head. The pantry shelves are removable and the original plumbing remains -- meaning this pantry could easily be converted into a third head if desired.

A few steps up from the galley leads to the pilothouse. The pilothouse offers good all round visibility and access to the side decks via sliding doors on both port and starboard and to the flybridge / boat deck via ladder. A high bench provides comfortable seating.

A curved stairwell provides access forward to the staterooms. After descending, a head compartment is located to the starboard side of the passageway. It is equipped with a marine toilet, marble countertop with a single basin sink, and a bath / shower.

At the forward end of the passageway is a stateroom, located in the forepeak. This stateroom has a bunk to port with a double bottom berth and single upper berth, and there is a considerable amount of storage space located to the starboard side.

A second stateroom lies to port and aft from the forward stateroom. This stateroom will sleep three with a double bottom berth and single upper berth. Storage is provided by a series of drawers and small hanging locker.

The master stateroom is located amidships and has a queen-sized berth with walk around access on both sides, and a substantial amount of storage space and cedar-lined hanging lockers. Additional storage is located underneath the berth. The master stateroom contains its own head compartment - also equipped with marble countertop, sink, marine toilet, and a bath / shower.

The flybridge can be accessed from a ladder in the cockpit or a ladder in the pilothouse. A helm station, covered by a bimini, is located forward. A large sundeck / boat deck is located aft and offers enough space to accommodate two dinghies side-by-side.

Heating and cooling is provided by two Marine Air reverse cycle systems (models VCP10K, VCP16K). One for the upper station and a separate unit for the staterooms below.

A hidden vault is securely fastened to the hull with concrete and chain and is well suited for safe keeping of documents and valuables.

Manufactured by King Yachts in Taiwan (ROC), under the strict oversight of the ROC Navy to ensure adherence to construction standards, this yacht was built by the successor yard to that which built Sea Ranger Yachts.

Although manufactured overseas, the yacht is reportedly exempted from the Jones Act and the current owner, with supporting documentation, operates the boat as a charter and carries passengers for hire. A buyer would want to confirm this exemption.

This vessel has been owned and maintained by the same owner since it was built. She's cruised the west coast from Canada to Panama and ventured into the Caribbean. This vessel has a Panama Canal Ship Identification Number, simplifying future passages through the Canal.

The engines and gensets were replaced in 2000 and are reported to be professionally maintained. They are run regularly, and an extensive collection of spare parts (the best onboard inventory that I've seen) would allow one to cruise with confidence.

This vessel has some unique features, including the addition of a bulbous bow which improves hull performance and efficiency. Twin engines and twin gensets provide redundancy and safety on long voyages.

The vessel's construction feels and appears solid throughout, and the craftsmanship, condition, and extent of the teak woodwork throughout the cabin is truly impressive. Everything is teak - the decks, cabinets, furniture, bulkheads, overheads, and doors.

Due to the owner's age, the exterior of this vessel would benefit from a good detailing, however, this appears to be a terrific opportunity - in terms of the mechanical equipment, interior layout and condition, spares, and thoughtful additions.
