Commentaires du Broker
Hallberg-Rassy started as an amalgamation of the yards of two rival Swedish boatbuilders, Harry Hallberg and Christoph Rassy in 1972. They have always specialised in comfortable sailing boats suitable for longer voyages and the Hallberg-Rassy 312, although one of their smaller models, definitely embodies that ideal. First built in 1979, nearly 700 312's were built making them one of HR's most popular designs
She has a nice simple sail plan, a good sized fully-battened main with lazy jacks and furling genoa. There is a spinnaker which has been very lightly used
This is a MK I and fitted out with the additional cockpit lockers in lieu of a quarter berth. She has a good sized chart table, well thought out galley and lots of usable storage throughout. The interior finish looks typically Swedish, high quality timber making her both practical and attractive below and she is very well presented, clean and bright and smells fresh.
She does have a full teak deck, cockpit and coachroof. Whilst in the cockpit you can see the original quality and thickness of the timber (which has been covered), the main deck itself is now in need of considerable maintenance, or more probably replacement. There is now some water ingress, I was aboard after torrential rain and it was minimal however it will need addressing to prevent further damage
She is currently ashore so available for easy inspection
