Comentario del broker
Well, I have only sold one other of these beautiful little ships, so it is a great pleasure to see another!. I’ll stick to my first impressions and then tell you what the owners had to say.
A lovely classic looker and this boat is clean, tidy, and looking in tip-top order. Beautiful lines, really lovely, I could get quite emotional about this one! Being a long keeler, I expected the owner to say that she tracked as if she was on rails, and he did (we won’t mention how she behaves astern). The engine sulks, almost unused, in its compartment, looking brand new (it is in fact a 1985 engine) but saying “Me! Me! Pick me this time!” Sorry mate, it’ll be sails every time!
Upholstery, sail cover, spray hood, tiller cover all new in 2011. Liferaft, dinghy, hand-held VHF all new in 2014.
“Prospective purchasers may be reassured that all necessary work has been undertaken plus non-essential improvements such as a new Lewmar deck organiser is ready to go.” says the owner. “This year’s engine service is about to be carried out (April 2016) by a local marine engineering firm.”
Down below she has the expected “little ship” feel, and to be blunt she could have just been built yesterday. If you want to be different, have some style, get noticed, envied, have strangers come up and comment on your beautiful little yacht, then I think you’d better come and have a look. This is as far from an “average white boat” as you can get.
I do have an article from Classic Boat in November 2006, written about this actual boat. If you get in touch with me at Ian@boatshedportsent.com or ring me on 07885 521960 I’ll send you a copy.
