The Contessa 34OOD has an injection moulded GRP hull. The glassfibre mat was laid up between two moulds, along with all the interior hull stiffening and reinforcements. The resin is then vacuum pumped through the mould. This construction method resulted in a very strong hull all the stiffening such as ribs, frames and stringers become an integral part of the boats moulded hull.
Hull below water line epoxy coated. Recently antifouled.

Newly re-listed, this Contessa 34 OOD was previously sold by Boatshed Essex.
She is a very competent cruiser/racer, with a fabulous suite of sails and accommodation for a full 7-person crew complement. Forward v-berth, 4 in the saloon on two levels (with lee-cloths) and a 3/4 double aft by the nav station.
She's got a full array of electronics, including radar.
Powered by a 2005 Yanmar, she has ample power when the sails just aren't enough!
