Very well Maintained Turn-Key Class 40 Program. Cutlass (USA37) is seriously for sale. The boat is a proven winner, She has been constantly upgraded and optimized since she was launched in 2007. The boat is well built, fully dialed in, superbly equipped, and ready to pass a Cat 1 safety inspection,
Following the finish of the 2011 Transat Jaques Vabre, Cutlass will be in the South East US ready for a happy new owner to sail the 2012 Atlantic Cup and the 2012 Bermuda Race. Built by Jaz Marine in foam cored epoxy E-Glass layup.
Class 40 Champion when sailed in Europe in 2008 and since then the most successful Class 40 in the United States. Cutlass is competitive and has won against a mixed fleet under PHRF, is very exciting and rewarding to sail. She is particularly fast upwind in light to medium airs and holds her own downwind. She is reluctantly for sale due to owner's time commitments.
Unlike first generation boats ‘Cutlass’ has a fabricated steel fin, is built to a low weight and high righting moment. The yacht has been professionally maintained througout it's service life. The last two refits in the US having been undertaken by Brian Harris at the Maine Yacht Center where the mast was unstepped, keel removed and the yacht stored inside.
