This sedan-style boat is easy to board by stepping on the side deck or on the swimstep and through the center transom gate into the cockpit. The bow is wide and safe with stainless molded railings. The cockpit, with propane locker and ample lazarette, has an outdoor hot/cold shower and is plumbed with a raw water wash spigot – very convenient for cleaning dirty paws or feet while at anchor. A ladder leads to the flybridge. On the flybridge, three new (2022) side-by-side seats, and a large deck provide area to enjoy with friends. The helm is equipped with electronics. Two Coleman ice chests are custom mounted to either side. A custom hinged radar mast is mounted near the stern of the flybridge allowing the boat to be easily stored undercover or lowered if taking the boat on the “Great Loop”. A boom off the mast assists in hauling the dinghy, or a motor, and could potentially aid in a “man overboard” retrieval.
The interior feels spacious for a boat of this size and it is very efficient for Pacific Northwest cruisers. Cabin heat is provided by Webasto diesel heat while at anchor, electric heat at the dock or via engine heat underway to make this truly an “all season” boat. Large cabin windows throughout provide excellent 360 visibility and light. The windows all have custom privacy screens as well as winter covers.
Forward is the v-berth cabin. The V-berth is deceptively large, 6'5" on centerline. A hatch with screen and a custom step provides access to the bow as well as light and ventilation. There is storage below the berth, reading lights on both sides, and a cut-out to provide space for dressing. The previous owners recovered the berth cushions and replaced the wall covering which makes the area fresh and clean. The additional cushions for the settee (with the original fabric) are cleverly stowed in this area and out of the way.
A large hanging locker is just aft of the cabin on starboard with a custom light and two hanging rods to take advantage of its height and depth. The head is next to the hanging locker, the galley to port. The galley includes an aftermarket and newer, larger Vitrifrigo refrigerator with separate freezer compartment. A stainless sink with a domestic single lever faucet, newer Formica covers the counter space, storage with custom lighting, a microwave and 3-burner Force 10 stove and oven complete the galley. The stove has a very handsome, hand-made chopping board which protects the burners and extends the galley counter space. Removable floor boards in the galley provide additional storage space.
Stepping up to the main salon area the main helm is starboard. It is fully equipped with Garmin radar, Garmin navigation, Standard Horizon VHF, Lowrance fishfinder, Si-Tex autopilot, and bow thruster. The captain’s seat is a custom wooden chair with leather seat that folds away to create space for other small chairs when enjoying the salon area. The previous owner also created a custom foot step with storage for manuals below the helm. To port is the L-shaped settee which has been reupholstered in a beautiful deep blue fabric by the current owners. The settee may convert to a double berth if you replace the table with the original table and use the cushions stored in the v-berth. At the end of the settee is a custom end table which folds away or may provide an additional seat. The carpet was replaced approximately 4 years ago; the current owners added teak facing underneath the settee.
A custom chart holder cleverly folds away just inside the companionway and the lazarette lock was repositioned for easy access.

VIRTUAL TOUR - VIDEO - 90 + PHOTOS - FULL SPECS CAN BE VIEWED OF THIS 1993 CAMANO TROLL 31 TRAWLER.
This well-cared-for Camano Troll 31 has many custom upgrades and she is clean inside and out. The current owners reupholstered the settee and added teak below. The v-berth cushions were reupholstered by the previous owner in a neutral fabric and are in good condition as well. A few of the custom additions to this Camano: a folding wood and leather helm chair, beautiful hand-made chopping board covering the stove which creates additional counter space, storage below the galley floor, chart holder, folding salon table, a small folding table or seat at the end of the settee and a hinged radar mast to allow storing the boat in covered moorage or motor under bridges on the Great Loop.
The hull appears to be in excellent condition with no apparent blemishes and a very clean bilge. It is fully equipped with navigation equipment, autopilot, bow thruster, inverter, stereo and a new inflatable dinghy (still in its bag!) to list a few of the amenities.
Camano Trawlers are known for their stability, ease of handling and interior comfort in a compact space. The Keelform hull design, original to the Camano brand, is unique and well-regarded for its stability, seaworthiness, and efficiency. The pronounced bow flair keeps the spray down and makes for a dryer boat. The deep hull provides ample capacity for the Volvo TMD41B engine to be mounted in the keel, lowering its center of gravity, adding to its stability. Owners speak of the boats’ stable performance in difficult sea conditions and its fuel efficiency. Large windows provide 360 visibility as well as light throughout the cabin and galley area making the interior of the boat seem expansive for a boat of this size.
